Obituary

GERTRUDE M. CROWLEY, 87, formerly of 901 S. Farwell St., died Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at Dove Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire.She was born on July 5, 1913 in Lansing, Iowa to Benjamin and Amanda Feuerhelm. Gertrude grew up in Lansing and moved to Kenyon, MN and then Elmwood, WI in 1953. She later moved to Menomonie where she was a cook at the Bolo Inn and then at UW-Stout where she worked until her retirement in 1978. After her retirement, Gertrude was a babysitter for over 20 years in the Menomonie and Eau Claire area. She moved to Eau Claire in 1982, where she was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church. \r\nSurvivors include two sons, Dale (Charlene) Kiesau of Menomonie, and Clay Crowley of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Mark (Patty) Kiesau, Brian (Shelia) Kiesau and Dawn Kiesau all of Menomonie; four great grandchildren, Nicole, Kayla, Abbigail and Dalton Kiesau all of Menomonie; three brothers, Vernon (Pearl) Feuerhelm of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ronald (Bernadine) and Walter (Dorothy) Feuerhelm both of Ellsworth; two sisters-in-law, Ivy Feuerhelm of Ellsworth and Jan Feuerhelm of Black River Falls; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nGertrude was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie; her parents; and two brothers, Everett and Glenn Feuerhelm. \r\nFuneral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Brent L. Parrish officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Ellsworth Township near Ellsworth. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
