Obituary

Gertrude J. "Gert" Storck, 95, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday December 10, 2002 at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born December 24, 1906 in Otta, Norway, the daughter of Hans and Anna (Bergh) Tauger. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1924. On January 21, 1934 Gertrude married William S. Stork in Waukegan, Illinois.\r\nShe was employed at Northern States Power Co. of Eau Claire, Bank of America in San Diego, CA, and a volunteer for the American Heart Fund, Republican Headquarters, and Luther Hospital Gift Shop.\r\nGert was a member of P.E.O. Chapter B. E. and First Baptist Church. She was a loving member of her family and spent many hours and days with the Tauger families. \r\nSurvivors include nephews, Aleron (Peg) Larson, Denver, CO, Harley (Shirley) Thronson, Long Beach, CA, Robert (Jean) Jones, Ankney, IA, Raymond (Betty) Larson and Jim (Sherry) Jones, both of Eau Claire, Thomas (Nancy) Kearney, Phoenix, AZ, Richard (Judy) Kearney of Waukesha, WI, Charles (Barb) Kearney, Petoskey, MI, Terry (Cheri) Tauger, Eau Claire, Jerome Tauger, Santa Monica, CA; nieces, Jeanne Poquette, Eau Claire, Beverly (Tom) LeHecka, Minneapolis,MN, Judy (Dave) Koshoshek, Mankato, MN, Connie (Dave) Johnson, Eau Claire, Bonnie Pedraza, Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Carmen (Harald) Larsen, Elk Mound; and many grand-nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; three brothers, Hans, Sigurd and Stanley Tauger; five sisters, Anna Thronson, Clara Nelson, Inga Larson, Mabel Jones and Olga Kearney; sister-in-law, Capitola Bliese; two nephews, Jack Bliese and Morrie Poquette; nieces, Leone "Nony" Markle, Elaine "Sis" Spooner and Cleo Larson.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Andrew Boe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call an hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\n The family request memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church or Syverson Lutheran Home.
