Gladys M. Bohl, 85, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Dove Healthcare. She was born in Jim Falls, WI on September 27, 1924, a daughter of Harden and Margaret (Sykora) Pitts.\r\nGladys married Leonard W. Bohl on February 13, 1945, in Bloomer, WI.\r\nShe worked as a Nursing Assistant on the 4th and 7th floors at Sacred Heart Hospital for 35 years until her retirement in 1996.\r\nGladys was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire.\r\nShe always looked forward to spending time with her children, family, and friends. Her greatest pride were her eight children- so much so that her license plate was "I HAVE 8".\r\nGladys had many interests which included quilting, sewing, crocheting, reading, bird watching, fishing, traveling and playing bingo. \r\nGladys is survived by her eight children, Leon (Janet) Bohl of Las Vegas, NV, Ronald (Mary) Bohl of Eau Claire, Bonnie (Donald) Berg of Hallie, Loren "Butch" (Julie) Bohl of Eau Claire, Vickie (Larry) Hebard of Ladysmith, Allen (Chris) Bohl of New Richmond, Mary (David) Vowels of White Bear Lake, MN and Cathy (Tony) Button of Hayward; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances (Kenneth) Gravunder of Bloomer, and Freda Pooler of Bloomington, MN; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Orien (Cecelia) and Ralph (Mildred) Pitts; five sisters, Margaret, Irene and Gertrude Pitts, Evelyn (Merlin) Schnoor and Marie (Joe) Johnson; and brother-in-law, Fred Pooler.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Sacred Heart Hospital Chapel with Monsignor Edmund Klimek and Father Brian Konopa officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the Hospital Chapel. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family.\r\nHer family would like to thank Northwest Wisconsin Homecare Hospice, Dove Healthcare and Community Health Partnership for their kindness and care for Gladys.
