GLEN B. GORE, 80, of Oak Gardens, Altoona, died Sunday, March 28, 1999 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home. He was born on March 1, 1919 in Pasco, WA, to Myron and Annette (Rand) Gore. Glen grew up in Iowa, graduating from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines in 1937. \r\nHe earned his Bank Examiners certification from the American Institute of Banking while working for First National Bank, and then worked in sales at M.A. Gore Lumber Co. with his father, both in Mpls. \r\nHe was an Account Executive with Merrill-Lynch while living in Wayzata,MN, and later transferred to their Duluth branch where he lived in Minong until retiring in 1984. He moved to Eau Claire in 1994.\r\nGlen was a member of the Mississippi Valley Lumbermen Club, and the Kiwanis Club in Mpls.\r\nSurvivors include, a sister, Gail Hanshus of Eau Claire; a nephew, Jon (Peggy) Hanshus of North Quincy, MA; a niece, Judy (Rich) Partlow of Eau Claire; two great nieces, Melissa Mathews of Eau Claire and Tammy (James) Fulce of Rotunda, FL; a great nephew, Scot Partlow of Seattle, WA; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a great nephew, Jon Hanshus. \r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Friends may call an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, his family requests memorials please be given to the donor's choice.
