Glen A. Leinum, 94, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013, at his home. He was born on November 20, 1918, in Eau Claire, to Albert and Helen (Olson) Leinum. He attended and graduated from Eau Claire Senior High with the Class of 1937. Glen joined the US Army in 1942 and served with the 8th Armoured Division during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He then went to work for US Rubber Company in Eau Claire for 33 years where he met his wife, Ann Louise Johnson. They were married at Kings Valley Church in Osseo on June 29, 1947. Glen was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. In 1979, Glen retired and had many wonderful years with Ann, family and friends. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren. Glen is survived by his children, Gregory Allen (Cathy) of Appleton, WI, and Vicki Ann (Bill) Pabich of Eau Claire; four grandchildren, Corey Leinum of Minneapolis, MN, Amanda Leinum (Zack Rourk) of Minneapolis, MN, and Branden and Sam Pabich, both of Eau Claire; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ann; granddaughter, Kasey Pabich; sisters, Lorraine (Russ) Spooner and Bernice (Frank) Soppeland; and two brothers-in-law, Harris (Gloria) Johnson and Stanley (Loretta) Johnson Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave. in Eau Claire with Pastor Jim Page officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at church. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 53. The family would like to extend a thank you to Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice, especially Dad's nurse Mauricea, for their wonderful care provided.
