Glenn W. Fremstad, 92, of Eau Claire died Monday, May 20, 2002 at Oakwood Villa in Altoona. He was born on March 9, 1910 in Pigeon Falls to Albert and Clara (Haugen) Fremstad. He graduated from Whitehall High School in 1928.\r\nOn December 16, 1939, Glenn married Jeanette Hanson Amundson, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls. They lived on the home farm until moving to Eau Claire in 1941. He retired form Leaths Furniture Store after 28 years. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nSurvivors his son, Albert (Mary Lee) of Chetek and daughter, Gloria (Lowell) Colbus of Edina, Minn.; three grandchildren, Eran Colbus of Lewiston, New York, Heath (Amy) Fremstad and Melissa Fremstad both of Eau Claire; one great-grandson, Seth of Eau Claire; three sisters-in-law, Delayne Fremstad of Osseo, Dorothy (Elmer) Pfertsh of Thornton, Colorado and Gudrun Hermenau of Beaulah, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Jeanette in January of this year; his parents, sister, Hazel Fremstad Van Gorden; and four brothers, Clifford, Palmer, Maynard and Ernest.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2002 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Gary F. Sahs officiating. Burial will be in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Pigeon Falls. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Friday at the church.
