Gloria M. James, 81, of 2852 Fifth St., Eau Claire died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Luther Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1920 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Donaldson) Fitzpatrick. \r\nGloria graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1938. She worked as a legal secretary until she met K. Doyle James. They were married on June 19, 1943 in Chippewa Falls. Gloria and Doyle enjoyed fifty plus years together. She enjoyed gardening and the yearly family picnic. Gloria was a wonderful homemaker. \r\nSurvivors include her brother Frederick (Ferne) Fitzpatrick of Peoria, AZ; six nephews, Mike (Connie) Fitzpatrick of Spokane, WA, Dan Campbell of Maple, WI, Bob (Mary) Campbell of Eau Claire, Thomas Campbell of Madison, Richard Panzer of Milaca, MN and John (Sherry) Panzer of Chippewa Falls; five nieces, Pat (Gene) Mathews of Eau Claire, Jane (Dan) Syverson of Colfax, Mary (Peter) Tharp of Roberts, Kathleen (Joe) Aldworth of Madison and Betty (Jim) Baribeau of Eau Claire; many great nieces and nephews; and four great-great nieces.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doyle in January 1994; three sisters, Margaret LaLonde, Helen Bennett and Grace Panzer; and a half sister, Irene Johnson. \r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
