Gordie L. Fagerland, 90, formerly of 331 Jefferson St., Eau Claire; died Tuesday, September, 24, 1996 at Moorhead Manor in Moorhead, Minnesota. She was born December 6. 1905 in Eleva to Peter and Mollie(Semingson) Skulhus. Gordie married Gaylord N. Fagerland on November 16, 1929 in Minneapolis. She graduated from Eau Claire Normal School and taught one year in Cornell.She was a member of First Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Gaylord (Marlene) Fagerland of Moorhead,MN; a daughter, Diane(Howard) Whalen of Opelika, AL; eight grandchildren, Peter and David Fagerland, Anne-Marie (Mark)Maerz; Steven(Angela), James(Carol), Thomas(Tammy) and Karen Erlandson and Linda (Steve) Stutts; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.\r\nGordie was preceded in death by her husband Gaylord in 1990, and an infant brother, Oliver.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Eleva Cemetery,Eleva. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church.
