GRACE E. BOWLIN, 89, a long time Eau Claire resident, passed away September 20, 2002 at Dove Healthcare. She was born on February 27, 1913 in rural Dunn County the daughter of Alonzo and Edna (Wood) Cartwright. \r\nGrace worked as a seamstress at Samuelson's Department Store and Edwin's Bridal Shop in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a member of Altoona Seventh Day Adventist Church.\r\nSurvivors include her three sons, Damon H. (Nadine) Bowlin of Pueblo, Co, Royal M. (Barbara) Bowlin of Menomonie and Monte Beau (Ruth) Bowlin of Ellsworth; her daughter, N. Star Ries of Eau Claire; a brother, Sherman (Laverne) Cartwright of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn; sister, Emma; and two brothers, James and Gerald Cartwright. \r\nFuneral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Arthur Miller officiating. Burial will be in Waneka Cemetery, town of Spring Brook, Dunn County. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Altoona Seventh Day Adventist Church.
