Grace Fay Dittner, age 80, of Eau Claire, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Grace was born to Carl and Gladys (Johnson) Stai, on May 27, 1933, in Eau Claire WI. She was a dedicated housewife that took great pride in raising her and Norman's six children. As the children grew older, she worked a Timm's Dairy, London Luggage, and later retired from Walmart Photo. She liked spending time at Red Cedar Lake in Mikana, WI. She went on many "sister trips" with her sisters. Grace enjoyed being with her family, and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as a dedicated fan to all of their activities and sporting events. Grace is survived by her children, Neil (Arlene) Dittner, Larry (Denise) Dittner, Patrick "Skip" Dittner, Melanie (Richard May) Albricht, Douglas Dittner, and Paula (Tom Bernhardt) Bourget; grandchildren, Bradley (Emily) Dittner, Alissa (Zachary) Schroer, Kristen (Andy) Olson, Heather Willert, Sarah (Michael) Goodman, David Albricht, Anna (Jason) Flora, Abigail Albricht, Allyson Bourget, Kyle Bourget, Ashley Nayes, Kaley Bernhardt, and Lexi Bernhardt; great-grandchildren, Briana Dittner, Caleb Olson, and one blessing on the way; sisters, Beverly Curler, Alice (Chuck) Spehle, and Karen Bisek; sister-in-law, Margaret Walker; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Norman; brothers, Charles Stai and Donald Stai; sisters, Carol Murtishaw and Shirley Curler; in-laws, Ruth Stai, Hank Murtishaw, Donald Curler, John Curler, LaVern Bisek, and Gordon Walker; and great-grandchild, Alainah Albricht. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 4 to 7PM, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. Funeral Service will be at 2PM on Sunday, June 30, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 123 W. Hamilton Ave., Eau Claire, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rodney Venberg will be officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic Health System, Cancer Center Eau Claire, 1221 Whipple Street, Eau Claire WI, 54703.
