Obituary

GRACE R. MUNSON, 90, of 2628 7th St., Eau Claire, died Tuesday, January 16, 2001, at Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls. She was born on August 3, 1910 in Rock Creek to Ed and Rose (Huftel) Harschlip.\r\nGrace married Norman Munson in August, 1944 in The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua,Iowa. They lived for many years in Chippewa Falls. She worked at Huebsch Laundry and then at Gillette Tire Company during the war. From 1970-1983, Grace worked in the Dietary Department and then the coffee shop at Luther Hospital until retirement. \r\nShe was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls and a member of Ladies Aid there until she moved to Eau Claire in 1970 when she became a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Survivors include, two sons, Rodney (Joyce) Munson and Gary (Gloria) Munson, both of Eau Claire; a daughter, Sandy (Ken) Johnson, Eau Claire; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Harschlipof Boulder City, NV; a sister-in-law, Margaret Monson of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman in 1968; a brother, Gerald Harschlip; three sisters, Merle Moore, Loris Wright, and Lola Mawby; and infant twin siblings.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Lowell Bolstad officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the town of Hallie. Friends and relatives may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.
