Gregory Manville Price, 69, of Elk Mound passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017. He was born in Eau Claire on August 6, 1948, to Manville and Myrna (Berge) Price. He graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1966, and attended Iowa State University. Greg was a hard-working man with a strong business mind. Coupled with his love of architecture and a drive for physical labor, he spent his career life building a successful drywall and real estate business. His impeccable technique and commitment to timeliness were revered by many in the industry. He spent time working his craft in the Boston, MA area, returning to the Chippewa Valley in 1989, and later retired from his business in 2012. As a private contractor, he forged many life-long relationships. He not only took great pride in his trade but also in his family. Time spent with his children and grandchildren brought him great joy. In his personal life Greg played just as hard as he worked. Connections with family and friends were important to him. His favorite times were spent with extended family and friends fishing and pontooning at his cabin on Axehandle Lake in New Auburn. A competitive nature made him a great golfer and he was an avid reader that continued to seek knowledge his entire life. He was loved by his family and friends and his genuine goodwill and joyful laughter will be greatly missed. Greg is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce Price; his children, James (Lori) Price of Bloomer, John Price of Bloomer, Mark Price of Denver, CO, and Trevor Linberg of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Logan, Noah, Aaron, Olivia, Justine, Tyson, and Anna; great granddaughter, Mya; mother, Myrna Price of Eau Claire, WI; siblings, Kenneth (Donna) Price, Keith (Julie) Price and Kathy (Dave) Kopp, all of Elk Mound, WI; former spouse, Carol Chrostowski; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Manville Price. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at the WEST CHAPEL location of Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, with Pastor Jim Ahlquist officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, and again one hour prior to services Thursday at the WEST CHAPEL. Burial will be in Waneka Cemetery, in Spring Brook Township.
