Gregory A. Fedie, 57, of Arcadia, died as a result of an accident on Sunday, September 30, 2012, in Buffalo County. Greg was born in Durand, on September 17, 1955, to Lawrence and Mary (Price) Fedie. He graduated from Osseo-Fairchild High School with the Class of 1973. Greg then went to work at Waste Research and Reclamation in Eau Claire. He soon moved to Arcadia and dedicated more than 20 years of service at Ashley Furniture. He was currently enrolled in the Supervisory Management Program at Western Technical College in La Crosse. You could find Greg on the Mississippi anytime of the year, leisure fishing or entering tournaments on any of the area lakes. He also enjoyed deer hunting and being in the woods. Greg had a big heart and loved kids - no matter what age. He loved people and could talk your ear off if you let him. He used to say "I didn't think you'd ever stop listening". Greg is survived by his three brothers, Mark Fedie of Eau Claire, Barry (Lori) Fedie of Hammond, and Jack Fedie of Arcadia; three sisters, Kim Hall of Fall Creek, Ann (Bruce) Johnson of Strum, Lisa Lindner of Osseo; two special daughters, Sarah and Christine Trautlein; very special grandson, Tommy Trautlein; nine nieces and nephews, Merica (Mike) Loesel, Tony (Heidi) Hall, Krissy Campbell, Mike Fedie, Lindsay Lindner (Luke Martin), Kelly Hall (Joe Schaefer), Allison Fedie, Chris Nordby-Fedie, and Alex Hall; 8 great-nieces and nephews; many other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., in Eau Claire. Visitation will begin at 9:30am at the funeral home with a service at 11:00. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire.
