GUY A. TARBOX, 48, of 3344 Davey St., died Tuesday, December 30, 1997 at his residence, after a two and a half year battle with cancer. He was born November 1, 1949 in Eau Claire. Guy was employed as a welder, at Spectrum Industries in Chippewa Falls.\r\nHe is survived by two sons, Tony Holum, Beloit, and Shawn Bishop, St. Louis Park,MN; four daughters, Sheila Horel, Jessica Tarbox, both of Chippewa Falls, Melissa Tarbox ,York,ME, Sarah Tarbox, New Ulm,MN; six grandchildren; four brothers, Andrew La Placa, Ted Tarbox, both of Eau Claire, Richard Tarbox, Milwaukee and Robert Tarbox, York,ME; six sisters,Jean Washburn, Eau Claire, Francis Menges, Sylmar,CA, Marjorie Anderson, Mary Ann Ciappetti, Elsie Cardinahl all of Kenosha and Mary Kohl of Marshfield.\r\nGuy was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Tarbox and his father, Alfred Mock; three brothers, Phillip, James and Elmer Tarbox; and two sisters, Toots Davis and Phyllis Christ.\r\nGuy was an avid bow hunter and fisherman. He was a Packer fan and collected Packer memorabelia he also enjoyed collecting Leinenkugel glasses. He will be greatly missed by by all his many friends, his very special friend, Denyse, and his pal, Kathy.\r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at St. Olaf's Catholic Church with Father Frank Corradi officiating. Burial will be in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Wilson. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. until time of services, Saturday at the church.
