Obituary

Gwendolyn B. Hanson, 97, of Eau Claire died Monday, January 26, 2009, at Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born on November 21, 1911, the daughter of Christ and Clara (Lyngaas) Anderson.\r\nGwendolyn married Hilmer "Hank" G. Hanson on August 5, 1933, in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church and primarily a homemaker. Her family wishes to thank all those who cared for and supported her over the last ten years from Mt. Washington Residence, Clairemont Nursing Home, Grace Lutheran Church and Community Health Partnership.\r\nGwendolyn is survived by her two granddaughters, Sheila (Bruce) Forsberg of Sleepy Hollow, IL and Holly (Robert) Richmond of Hudson; a great granddaughter, Kelsey Forsberg of Sleepy Hollow, IL; daughter-in-law, Margaret Hanson of Oak Creek; and other relatives and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Chester; her sister, Tracy; her husband, Hank; and her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sally (Kuestermann) Hanson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with the Rev. Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Visitation will be prior to services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral&Cremation Services is serving her family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W.
