Hanna J. McCluskey, 94, formerly of 1318 Sherwin Ave., died Saturday, May 30, 1998 at M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born January 25, 1904 in Eau Claire to Sam and Laura (Peterson) Sorlie. She received her education in the Eau Claire schools, and then attended the Milwaukee School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee. \r\nHanna married Gilbert A. Mc Cluskey at Grace Lutheran Church on October 10, 1931. She was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was a Deaconess, taught Sunday School and was a member of Lydia Circle, and the Friendship and Reading Clubs. \r\nFollowing Gilberts death in 1962, Hanna began working at The Shelter for the Handicapped where she was a supervisor in the sewing department until her retirement.\r\nSurvivors include three children, James (Pat) McCluskey of Bermuda Dune,CA, Joan (Gene) Rehberg of Eau Claire and Nancy (Ernie) Myhers of Strum; eleven grandchildren, Greg, Cheryl, Mark, Mike, Shelley, Babs, Cindy, Emily, Ernie, Paul and Becky; and eleven great-grandchildren.\r\nHanna was also preceded in death by her brother, John Sorlie; and three sisters, Jerry Weiner, Lillian Sorlie and Margaret Quenemoen.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Gene E. Wickman officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
