Obituary

Hans Freddie Roger Jorgenson, 76, of Eau Claire died Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at his home. He was born on February 22, 1929, in Eau Claire, the son of Hans and Burnetta (Brunn) Jorgenson.\r\nHans married Betty Jean Voss on October 11, 1984, in Duluth, MN. \r\nHans enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on September 23, 1950. He served 18 months in Germany and was honorably discharged on September 22, 1954.\r\nHans was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Altoona.\r\nHans worked many years as a truck and heavy equipment sales representative, and operated Northland GMC in Menomonie. He delivered flowers for Gay Chalet for 8 years. He worked for for 6 years with the mail courier department at Midelfort Clinic until retiring in Dec. 2004.\r\n Hans is survived by his wife, Betty Jean; a son, James (Amy) Jorgenson, of Chaska, MN; daughter, Sandra Johnson, of New Richmond; two step-daughters, Trudy (Bill) Porter, of Kent, WA, and Karen (Phil) Nicoletti, of Emumclaw, WA; three sisters, Marie (Ronald) Mayer, of Eau Claire, Thelma Johnson, of Colfax, and Ruth (James) Ackerlund, of Colfax; three grandchildren, Veronica Jorgenson, of Chaska, MN, Angela Johnson, of Superior, and Samuel Johnson, of New Richmond; three step-grandchildren, Amber (Brandon) Grooms, of Kent,WA, Andy Nicoletti, of Japan, and Bradley (Stephanie) Perham, of Maple Valley, WA; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHans was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Eric Perham; and two brothers-in-law, DuWayne Voss and Robert Johnson.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2005, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Altoona with Pastor Brian Carlton officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\n
