Harold "John" Beardsley Jr., 65, of Eau Claire died Friday, October 28, 2005, at his home.He was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin on October 2, 1940, the son of Harold and Frances (Rielly) Beardsley.\r\nHe grew up in Darlington, WI, and moved to Eau Claire in 1996, residing then at Mount Washington Residence.\r\nJohn enjoyed camping and making many rugs for his family and friends. He loved to tease, and was a kind and gentle man.\r\nSurvivors include his brother, Tony (Kay) Beardsley of Eau Claire; sister, Michaelyn (Michael) Zalecki of Charlotte, NC; six nieces and nephews, Tayna and Nicholas Zalecki, Grant and Wade Beardsley, Paige (Pat) O'Brien and Heather (Greg) Fetherston; and the many kind caregivers who helped John throughout his life.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joseph Beardsley.\r\nPrivate family services were held Sunday, October 30, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Darlington.\r\n \r\n
