HAROLD E. OLSON, 92, formerly of 2839 6th St., died Friday, October 11, 1996 at M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home. Harold was born on September 22, 1904 in Milltown, Wisconsin to Jens and Emma (Knutson) Olson. He married Helen W. Thompson on September 13, 1930 in Frederic. They moved to Eau Claire in 1942.Harold owned and operated Olson Auto Service on Truax Blvd. until his retirement in 1976. \r\nHe was a member of First Lutheran Church, George B. Wheeler Lodge #351 F&AM, and a member of the Scottish Rite.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Helen; a son, J Aubrey (Arleen) Olson, Freeport,IL; four grandchildren, Steven(Nancy Jo) Olson, Kris Olson and Susanne (John) Marschang all of Freeport,IL and Karin Olson of Phoenix,AZ; three great grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Olsen of Mpls,MN; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHarold was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; two brothers, Russell and Carl; and three sisters, Beatrice Meade, Gertrude Melby and Violet Olsen.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at First Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Milltown Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church or the March of Dimes.
