Harriet L. (Kunce) Anderson, 86, of Eau Claire, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital with her daughters at her side.\r\nShe was born October 18, 1922, in Luck, WI, to Alex Sund and Anna (Rasmussen) Sund. She graduated valedictorian for Milltown High School. She then completed her teaching certificate at Polk County Normal School. Harriet continued her education to earn her Masters Degree in art education from U.W. Eau Claire while teaching and raising her family.\r\nShe taught elementary education in the Eau Claire Area School District for over 30 years. Harriet participated in many clubs and organizations. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and volunteered many hours of her time there. She was proud to be a charter member of the Eau Claire Art League and is well known for her beautiful watercolor paintings which graced the walls of homes throughout the United States. \r\nHarriet loved to travel by car cross-county so she could see and share natures beauty with her family and friends. \r\nSurvivors include three daughters, Sharon Barnhardt, Marsha Robinson, and Sherry M. Kunce, all of Eau Claire; a son, David Robinson of Thailand; daughter-in-law, Pheobe Janes of Berkley, CA; seven grandchildren, Robin Barnhardt of Eau Claire, Mark Barnhardt of San Antonio, TX, Dominique Darranger of Hollywood, CA; Matthew Larson, Thomas Larson, Christina Lane, and Brandy Larson, all of Eau Claire; nine great-grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her energetic little dog, "Ricky."\r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenneth Sund; and sister-in-law, Winnie Sund.\r\nMom lived a full and active life in her own home until her sudden illness. Her family is thankful for the almost 87 years that we had with her. She was the glue of our family and will be greatly missed.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at church. Burial will be private at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.
