Harriet K. Christenson, 73, of 2215 Folsom Street died Friday, February 23, 1996 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born June 8, 1922 in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin to Melvin and Julia (Tollefson) Anderson. She later with her family to Eau Claire where she attended the Eau Claire Vocational School for several years. Harriet married Clinton A. Zimmerman in Eau Claire on April 23, 1946. Clinton died on February 7, 1967. She married Clifford "Christy" Christenson on October 25,1969, Christy died on December 28, 1992. Harriet always looked forward to getting together for family gatherings and to playing bingo and cards with her friends. Survivors include three sons, Michael Jensen (Ginny) Sedro of Woolley,WA, John (Linda)Zimmerman of Eau Claire, Jim (Donna Dufault) Zimmerman of Elk Mound; three daughters, Judith (Tony)Schrantz of Elk Mound, Jean (Bob Allen) Gibson of Eau Claire and Janice (Michael) Davis of Seattle,WA; nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Elroy M. (Becki) Anderson of Bowling Green,Ky; four nieces and two nephews.Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a daughter, Kari Howard and two granddaughters, Rhonda and Robin Thompson.Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Toby Ellison of Sacred Heart Hospital Officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
