Obituary

Harriet B. Lawrence, 80, of Eau Claire died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at her home. She was born in Galesville, Wisconsin on July 29, 1924, the daughter of Gunnar and Charlotte (Williams) Christianson. She graduated from Galesville High School and earned her registered nursing degree at St. Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse.\r\nHarriet married Michael J. Lawrence in Winona, Minnesota on October 13, 1945.\r\nShe worked as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for 36 years until her retirement in 1985.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Michael Sr.; daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Matthews of Tucson, AZ; three sons, Michael Jr. (Linda) of Eau Claire, Robert (Julie) of Zeeland, MI, and Mark (Cindy) of Wichita, KS; twelve grandchildren; four grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Betty) Christianson of Holman and Gerald (Linda) Christianson of Eau Claire; sister, Virginia Slavy of Whitehall; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHarriet was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Francis and Leslie Christianson; and a sister, Lucille Larson.\r\nServices will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Sacred Heart Hospital Chapel, 900 W. Clairemont, Eau Claire with Father Edmund Klimek officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the Hospital Chapel.\r\nIn lieu of flowers family requests memorials be directed to the Adults with Lung Problems c/o Sacred Heart Hospital, 900 W. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, WI, 54703.\r\n \r\n
