Obituary

HARRIET I. MISSMAN (HENDRICKSON), 74, 529 E. Lexington Blvd., died Sunday, June 20, 1999 at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on November 12, 1924 to Ragna (Lyngaas) and Ole Hendrickson, graduating from E.C.H.S. in 1942. She married Lester C. Missman on June 24, 1951 in Eau Claire. Harriet had been employed at Drummond Packing Co. and Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.\r\nSurvivors include two sisters, Ruby Davis of Elgin, TX, and a twin sister, Helen (Chester) Quale of Eau Claire; a brother, Ingwald Hendrickson of Palacios, TX; a special sister-in-law, Phyllis Hendrickson of Eau Claire; and seven nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; a brother, Norman Hendrickson; and a sister, Gladys (Rolland) Rude.\r\nHarriet's faith was always a great comfort to her, and sustained her during years of poor health. She dearly loved the music of the church, along with other good music. In earlier years, she loved singing in the church choir. She enjoyed sports and many outdoor activities. Harriet loved flowers, and she was pleased to have her home-crafted dolls displayed through the Easter Seal Society.\r\nA service of praise and remembrance will be held 11a.m. Monday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, with Pastor Herbert Prahl officiating. Friends may greet the family during the hour preceding the service. Interment will be in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the service. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Services is assisting the family.
