HARRY CHARLES FECK, 76, of Eau Claire, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. He was born on December 14, 1924 in White Lake, WI, to Harry and Mary (Schneck) Feck. \r\nHe graduated from Wausau High School in 1946. Harry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 until his honorable discharge as Pharmacist's Mate Third Class in March of 1946. He was employed at Benson Optical from 1946 through 1988 when he retired as branch manager.\r\nHarry married Marian Reinhard on October 26, 1946. They came to Eau Claire in 1953. He was an active member of St. Olaf's Parish and also the John F. Kennedy Council #1257 Knights of Columbus, having served as Past Grand Knight. \r\nHarry volunteered many hours at St. Francis Food Pantry. Harry loved his cabin on the Lake of the Pines in Winter, WI and his gardens. He was an avid outdoorsman and an excellent cook. Harry wrote and published a venison cookbook during his retirement. Harry touched so many lives in his own special way and will be sadly missed. \r\nHe is survived by his wife, Marian; their six children, Luanne Shea (Dennis), Jane Deinhammer (Thomas), Patricia Menard (James), Bradley (Tracy) all of Eau Claire, Thomas of Butler, and Douglas (Joan) of Green Bay; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, William of Wausau; four sisters, Marjorie Knetter of Edgar, Isabelle Maissen of Yakima, WA, Rose Pregont of Wausau, and Mavis Gilbert of Santa Ana, CA.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Daniel and John "Jack" Feck; and an infant sister, Patricia.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2001, at St. Olaf's Catholic Church with Father Frank Corradi officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. A Parish Prayer Vigil will be at 5 p.m. Friday, and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.\r\nMemorials may be directed to St. Olaf's Parish Building Fund or the St. Francis Food Pantry.
