HARRY J. "HAL" Starr, 77, of 614 Fountain St., Eau Claire, died Saturday, June 5, 1999 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born on November 19, 1921 in Chicago,IL to Joseph and Agnes (Fineran) Starr. Hal served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the Philippines. On November 26, 1948, in Chicago,IL, he married Ardith Adams. \r\nHe worked for the Chippewa Herald and Eau Claire Leader Telegram in sales, retiring in 1985. After his retirement he worked part time for Wisconsin Indian Head Country, Inc. \r\nSurvivors include his wife, Ardith; a son, Michael (Lisa) Starr of Elizabethtown,KY; and a granddaughter, Samantha Starr.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rest haven Gardens Cemetery in the town of Washington. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\n
