HARVEY J. PEDERSEN, 77, of 325 Long St., died Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at Luther Hospital after a short illness. He was born on December 11, 1922, in Eau Claire, the son of Carl and Inga (Erickson) Pedersen. Harvey married Dorothy Everson on January 26, 1946 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nHe enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 21, 1943, and served in the Pacific Theater, until his honorable discharge on January 11, 1946.\r\nHarvey, a master plumber by trade, retired from Uniroyal in 1987 after several years as a supervisor. \r\nHe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, VFW Post #305, American Legion Post #53, and Moose Lodge #1408.\r\nHarvey and Dorothy enjoyed much time together, both at their cottage on Prairie Lake in Chetek, and at their winter place in Mesa, AZ. He was always busy working on projects and helping his relatives, neighbors, and friends.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, David (Jone) of McFarland; a daughter, Karen (David) Roholt of Eau Claire; four grandchildren, Eric and Karl Pedersen, Lisa and Lori Roholt; a brother, Einar (Beulah) Pedersen; and two sisters, Olga Martin and Gladys Shannon all of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Trygve; and a sister Cornelia Anderson.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2000 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery where VFW Post #305 will conduct military rites. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nThe family wishes to thank all who cared for him at Luther Hospital.
