HAZEL I. SLETNER, 86, of 815 Chapin St., died Saturday, October 12, 1996 at her residence. She was born October 4, 1910 in Eau Claire to Oscar and Sophie (Winberg) Johnson. Hazel married Sigwald "Sig" Sletner on May 19, 1930 in Stillwater,MN. She worked 15 years at Huebsch Laundry until 1944, when she retired as bookkeeper, to raise her children. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. \r\nSurvivors include her husband, Sig; son, Charles (Clara) Sletner and daughter, Diane Langland both of Eau Claire; two granddaughters, Christine (Tom) Seelow of Eau Claire and Barbara Langland of Altoona; great-granddaughter, Katelyn Seelow of Eau Claire; brother, Alfred (Edie) Johnson of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her sister, Stella Killen.\r\nHazel will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. \r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church.
