Helen W. Cole, 80, formerly of 212 Fulton Street died Friday, January 12, 1996 at the Center of Care. \r\nHelen was born March 2, 1915 to Fred and Marie (Steinke) Zutter in Eau Claire. She married Gordon E. Cole in Eau Claire on March 8, 1947. She worked at Wisconsin Bell Telephone in Eau Claire until her transfer to Milwaukee where they resided twenty nine years. Helen and Gordon later owned and operated a laundry service there. They moved back to Eau Claire in 1979 after Helen retired from the Methodist Manor in 1978.\r\nShe was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was active with "the Brady Bunch" at St. Patricks Congregation Church.\r\nHelen is survived by many nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Branshaw of Eau Claire and Arlene Mittelstadt of Las Vegas; two brothers-in-law, Lyman Cole of Eau Claire and Raymond Cole of Hillsborough, NC.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon in 1979; her parents; three brothers, George, Harold and Frederick; two sisters, Mildred Sather and Irma Miller.\r\nHelen was very much a part of the lives of her nieces and nephews and was always a pleasure to welcome into their homes.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastor Ned S. Lenhart officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church.
