Helen M. Farrell, 94, of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Dove Healthcare West. She was born on July 20, 1918, in Eau Claire to Karl and Ragnhild (Enerson) Hauger. She attended Eau Claire Schools, and worked for the Eau Claire Board of Education and City Health Department until she married her love, John Farrell. They married on November 3, 1945, in Eau Claire. They enjoyed spending time playing cards and golf with friends, and especially enjoyed time with their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family. Helen is survived by her two daughters, Kathryn "Cappy" (Steve) Christenson and Mary (David) Schlageter, both of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Des Forge, John (Megan) McCrackin, and Courtney (Brock) Haines; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Gabriella, Grace, McKenzi, Taylor, Lydia, and one on the way; nephews, Dick and Jim Hauger. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and brother, Robert (Bernice) Hauger. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at First Lutheran Church Chapel, 1005 Oxford Ave. with Pastor Lowell Halvorson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Eau Claire.
