HELEN BERNICE KILDE, 85, formerly of 810 E. Madison St., Eau Claire, died Thursday, February 1, 2001 at Fall Creek Valley Nursing Home. She was born in Eau Claire on May 30, 1915 to John and Ragna (Swenson) Kilde. \r\nHelen graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1933. She worked for 37 years at Uniroyal, retiring from the Payroll Department in 1978.\r\nShe was a lifelong and very active member of First Lutheran Church. Helen taught religious education and volunteered as an office worker for many years, and also actively participated in women's study groups.\r\nShe is survived by a brother, Rev. Paul (Marcella) Kilde of Eau Claire; and several nieces and nephews. \r\nHelen was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Rev. Clarence Kilde, Rev. John Kilde, Harold Kilde, and Ralph Kilde.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2001 at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call an hour prior to services Monday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Missions at First Lutheran Church.
