Obituary

Helen M. Lee, 100, formerly of 708 Main St., died Thursday, January 30, 2003 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. She was born on June 6, 1902 in Superior, the daughter of Harry and Bertha (Hanson) Omberg.\r\nHelen married Ralph B. Lee on December 8, 1928 in Eau Claire. They owned and operated Lee's Grocery Store on Main and Talmadge St. for 35 years.\r\nHelen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.\r\nShe is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Louie) Wagner of Brookfield; three grandchildren, Robert Viel of Delafield, Scott and Susanne Viel, both of Milwaukee; three great-grandchildren, Erik, Brian, and Colleen Viel of Oconomowoc; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; and two brothers, Melvin Mullen and Arthur Omberg.\r\nMemorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2003 at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.\r\nMemorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church.
