She attended Edison High\r\nSchool. Afterward she took secretarial training\r\nand worked at Dayton's and Lasalle Tire. \r\nOn August 7, 1943 she married Myron Leo Past and raised three\r\nchildren. She returned to work at Sears\r\nand later at General Mills in Corporate Personnel. She retired in 1982.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHelen enjoyed spending time with her family at "The Lake",\r\nfishing for crappies, working crossword puzzles, reading, playing cards and\r\ntaking walks. She enjoyed 29 years of\r\nretirement with Myron doing volunteer work, traveling, wintering in Arizona and\r\nspending much of their summers at their lake place in Alexandria, MN. The last three years of her life they lived\r\nin Eastridge Apartments in Eau Claire where they made many dear friends.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Stanley\r\nand Russell; her sister, Shirley Jorgenson; her sisters-in - law, Marge Hegquist\r\nand Jo Brouillard; her brothers -in - law, Norbert Brouillard, Earnie Lepore,\r\nPaul Jorgenson and Vernon Bredsten.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nShe will be missed dearly by her husband, Myron; her\r\nchildren, Linda Pehrson (Joseph), Greg Past (Arlene), Larry Past (Marie); her\r\ngrandchildren, Kinsey and Elliot Past; her sisters-in-law, Olga Bredsten and\r\nMarion Lepore; her many nephews and nieces and all of her friends in Eastridge\r\nApartments.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank Dr. Chris Roberts at Mayo\r\nHealth Systems, Eau Claire and the wonderful people at NW Hospice for their\r\ngreat care. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nHelen Past was truly a kind and sweet woman.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFuneral\r\nServices will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at First Lutheran\r\nChurch Chapel, 1005 Oxford Ave in Eau Claire with Pastor Lowell Halvorson\r\nofficiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at church. Burial\r\nwill take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's name to\r\nNorthwest WI Home Care or to a charity of your choice.
