Helen Stolp, age 85, passed into eternal life with her family by her side at Dove Healthcare West on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was born on February 4, 1929 in Dane County, WI. Michael & Agnes (Welc) Drause. After graduation from Bruce, WI. high school in 1947. Helen graduated with an LPN license and worked at Sacred Heart Hospital. Helen took care of a patient who was the mother of her future husband. On April 12, 1950, Gerald Stolp. Helen married the love of her life, Gerald Stolp at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eau Claire. After Jerry's stroke in 1985, Helen was a very determined lady who learned to drive at the age of 56. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Ann's Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, especially her Never Fail White Sugar Cookies, crocheting, knitting doing plastic canvas, playing her harmonica, playing cards, Bingo, dancing, volunteering at Dove West Nursing Home. The most important part of Helen's life was cherished time spent with family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, & friends. Having her loved ones close to share in her experiences is what made her life complete. Helen always had a smile on her face. She touched a lot of hears with her smile. Helene dedicated most of her life to caring for others and she will be dearly missed by all that were touched by her presence. Thanks Mom for all the happy memories. You were the best mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. Helen is survived by 4 daughters; Jane Stolp of Eau Claire, WI. Nancy Ottum of Manitowoc, WI. , Ruth (Lynn) Wagner of River Falls, WI., Lois (George) Puksich of Sheboygan, WI., 1 son; Gary (Lisa) Stolp of Manitowoc, WI. 7 grandchildren; Travis (Amy) Ottum, Andrea Ottum, Gerard (Alicia) Newton, Stacy (Christopher) Thompson, Kristie Newton & (Josiah Ray) , Elizabeth (Justin) Kiel, Jacob Stolp & (Molly Simac.) 7 great grandchildren, Shilo, Wyatt, Sajani, Katarzyna, Dustin, Austin, Greta. 1 sister; Helen Lucille (Vernon) Bisseger of Simi Valley, CA., and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in heath by her parents, Michael & Agnes Drones, her husband, Gerald, great grandchild, Ahlia Ottum, 5 brothers; Joseph, Charles, William, Martin, Raymond, 2 sister; Wanda, Mary, 2 sister-in-laws; Katie Maxine, Pearl, brother-in-law; Leo Garrett, 2 nieces, 2 nephews. Visitation for Helen will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 North Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 418 North Dewey Street, Eau Claire, with Father George Thayikuzhithottu officiating, with one hour visitation prior to the mass at the church. Private burial will be in the spring at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire. In lieu of flowers, Helen asked that donations be made to Sacred-St Patrick Parish, 322 Fulton St. Eau Claire, WI. 54703. Helen's family wished to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Suhail Shuja, Dr. Kristina Schuldt & Dr. John Mueller & the Mayo Home Health & Hospice care team for their excellent care and compassionate support. Also, a special thank you to Sister Catherine Manning OSB, Father George Thayikuzhithottu of Sacred Heart Church & Father John Schultz for their commitment, sustaining faith & spiritual guidance throughout her illness. Your prayers and presence were greatly appreciated. Also, a thank you to her friends at Good Shepherd Apartments for all their visits & treats. Also, thank you to the staff & volunteers at Dove Healthcare West for their wonderful care.
