Helen Weathers, 81, of Eau Claire, died peacefully at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire, on August 16, 2014. She was born in the town of Sampson, WI on October 28, 1932, to Charles and Edith Taylor. Helen graduated from Holcombe High School, moved to Eau Claire, and married Bill Weathers on June 9, 1956. She raised 2 children and helped to raise many others by running a day care center in her home for years before working as a house keeper at Sacred Heart Hospital for over 20 years. She loved Gospel and Country music; enjoyed gardening as well as sewing and quilting. She was a member of the Eau Claire Wesleyan Church. Helen is survived by her son, Charles (Barbara) Weathers; daughter, Rochelle; grandchildren: Brian, Brad, and Sharon Weathers; great grandchildren Malachi and Kayla; sister, Jean Carlson; and brother, Neil Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; infant daughter, Theresa Diane; and parents, Charles and Edith Taylor. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn, Funeral Home, 814 1st Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54703 with a visitation from 2-4 pm, prior to the service. Interment will be a private, family service at Lakeview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Dove West Health Care for all their compassion and care given to Helen.
