Henry "Hank" J. Kumferman, 84, of Eau Claire, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Hank was born in Eau Claire on September 11, 1929, a son of Harry and Wally (Schade) Kumferman. Hank graduated from Eau Claire Sr. High School with the class of 1947. Hank married Dorothy Faast on December 1, 1949, in Eau Claire. He worked for F.E. Grosvold Plumbing for many years and later at Badger State Plumbing, retiring in 1994. Hank was a long time member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local 434. Hank enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially trout fishing at the local creeks and streams. He also enjoyed trips with his sons and grandson to Lake Michigan fishing salmon and trout. Hank is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Steven (Linda) and Larry (Susan) Kumferman both of Eau Claire; daughter, Jami Kewin of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Gorton of Eau Claire; and also by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ronny, LaVerne and Harry; and two sisters, Betty Zahnow-Waterman and Evelyn Belden. In honoring Hank's wishes, no services will be held.
