IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry Peter
Wildenberg
December 29, 1938 – April 19, 2025
Hank Wildenberg, 86, of Eau Claire, WI died Saturday, April 19, 2025. He was born in Eagleton, WI on December 29, 1938 and was raised on farms in Eagleton and Cooks Valley. He was proud to have been a marine from 1956-1958. On June 5, 1959, Hank married Jo Lehrer. They had three children together and were married 58 years. Hank worked at the paper mill in Eau Claire for 40 years where he demonstrated a hard work ethic, yet was known as a prankster. Hank is survived by his children, Peter (Paula) Wildenberg, Penny Nicol, and Bobbi (Mark) Paulsrud; grandchildren, Leah (Amanda) Nicol, Ally Nicol, and TJ (Tabitha) FordPotter; great grandchildren Tayen, Easton, Lilyanna and Annaliese; brothers Gerald (Linda) Wildenberg, Dan (Bonnie) Wildenberg, In-Laws Mike (Sandy) Lehrer, Harold (Shelly) Berg and Penne Wildenberg, many beloved nieces and nephews, and special pal Spicy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Wildenberg; his parents Pete and Lorraine Wildenberg; Brothers Harold, Frederick, Robert; sisters, Beverly and Alice; in-laws Jim and Jan Lane, Paul (Beverly) Rihn, Barb (Frederick) Wildenberg. Hank's hobbies and interests defined who he was. He exemplified the term, "Jack of All Trades, Master of None". He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, racing, 4-wheeling, gardening, cutting wood, playing cards, frying fish. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending much time at "The Shack" in Holcombe. His love for outdoor recreation was something he shared with his children, grandchildren, family and friends, leaving a mark on us that will never fade. We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the laughter we shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. A visitation will be held at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services - West Chapel, 1405 N. Clairemont Avenue, from 4 until 7 PM on Thursday, April 24. Arrangements were entrusted to Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services in Eau Claire. Online condolences for Hank's family may be left at www.lenmarkfh.com.
