Herbert J. "Herb" Berman, 77, of Ladysmith, WI, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born in Eau Claire on December 5, 1930, a son of William and Marie (Kammel) Berman-Sanasac\r\nHerb entered the U.S. Air Force in 1947, serving in various capacities over his 20 year military career. \r\nIn 1957, he married Sandy Wold in Great Falls, Montana.\r\nFollowing his honorable discharge from the Air Force as a Technical Sgt. in 1967, he owned and operated his semi as an Over-the-Road-Trucker throughout the United States.\r\nHe loved to fish and hunt, especially in Alaska, and enjoyed his hobby farms where he lived.\r\nHerb is survived by his daughter, Tammy; three brothers, William E. (Margaret) Berman, Donald (Mary) Berman and Phillip (Hattie) Berman all of Eau Claire; sister, Joyce Glenna of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandy; son Steve Berman; an infant daughter; and three brothers, Richard, David, and James Berman.\r\nNo services will be held.\r\n
