Hope E. Dewitz, 84, of Eau Claire died on July 15, 2007, at her home. She was born in Osseo, WI, on January 4, 1923, the daughter of John "Fred" and Vera (Gilbertson) Nelson. \r\nHope married Vernon E. Dewitz on February 23, 1946, in Osseo.\r\nShe was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and Hope Lutheran Church Women.\r\nHope is survived by her husband, Vernon; seven children, Kay Vold of Osseo, Mary Jo (Marv) Lunde of Eau Claire, Paul Dewitz (Sue Timms) of Birchwood, Deborah (Dick) Arnold of Fairfield, IA, Kim (Rod) Bagley of Eau Claire, Eric (Kalynn) Dewitz and Chris (Theresa) Dewitz both of Osseo; ten grandchildren, Scott (Kelly) Vold, Trevor (Amy) Vold, Aaron (Lynn) Vold all of Osseo, Kyra (Aaron) Pasche of Crystal, MN, Matt Lunde of Eau Claire, Peter Arnold of Fairfield, IA, Laura and Kirsten Bagley both of Eau Claire, Jake and Taylor Dewitz both of Osseo; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Drew, Ian, Carter, and Hayden Vold; a sister, Lucy May Hoyme of Osseo; two brothers, Howard (Jane) Nelson of Milaca, MN and Jerry (Mary) Nelson of Clitherall, MN; three brothers-in-law, Gordon (Verna) Dewitz of Osseo, Loren (Bonee) Dewitz and Harold Matz both of Eau Claire; a sister in law, Grace Nelson Most of Osseo; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Richard, and William Nelson; three sisters-in-law, Lois Matz, Winifred Nelson, and Delories Nelson; and a brother-in-law, Norman Hoyme.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Hope Lutheran Church, with Pastor Randy Olson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hope Lutheran Church, 2226 Eddy Lane, Eau Claire., and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
