Howard D. "Chuck" Isaacson, age 68 of Eau Claire died Thursday, November 21, 2002 at his home with his family at his side. His death followed a hard fought battle with cancer. \r\nHe was born to Willard C. and Amybelle (Webber) on May 29, 1934 in Eau Claire, where he lived most of his life.\r\nChuck married Karen R. Thorson on August 1, 1959 at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nHe enjoyed an early retirement from Uniroyal-Goodrich Tire Company. Golfing was his passion. A great deal of Chuck's precious time and moments on earth was spent on Hallie Golf Course, making great memories with friends.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Karen of 43 years; their children, Jay H. Isaacson of Eau Claire and Roxanne (Steven Pittel) Isaacson of Vail, CO; two granddaughters, Briana and Kate Pittel of Vail, CO; sister, Delores Schmidt of Greenfield; brother, Richard (Ann) of Faribault, MN; a brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Fern Knesley; father-in-law, Edward Knesley; and several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.\r\nChuck was loved and enjoyed by so many; he leaves a legacy of laughter and smiles behind.\r\n"It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home."\r\nMemorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Friends may call an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
