H.T. "TED" WHITMYER, 71, of 841 Richards Dr., died Thursday, February 5, 1998 at The Clairemont. He was born March 8, 1926 in Akron,Ohio, to Horace and Glenna (Airhart) Whitmyer. He moved with his family to Janesville, graduated from Janesville High School in 1945, and then attended Bowling Green and Milton Colleges. Ted married Mary Ann Cushing on December 27, 1952 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Janesville. \r\nHe was a Sales Representative with St. Paul Book and Stationary for 20 years and then worked at Glendenning Trucking Associated, retiring in 1988. Ted was a member of Elks B P O Lodge No 402 and the Jr. Chamber of Commerce.\r\nSurvivors include his daughter, Karan of New Ulm,MN; two sisters, Nancy (William) Fredricks and Rae (William) Riley both of Janesville; many nieces and nephews; and his very dear friend, June Pond of Eau Claire.\r\nTed was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joanne Patton; a brother, John Whitmyer; and his former wife, Mary Ann.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David K. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Janesville. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\n
