Ida R. Traynor-Diekmann, 82, of Eau Claire, died Friday, December 2, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family. Post #53, 500 Card Club, and her Sewing Birthday Club. She was a CCD teacher and Den Leader for Scouts when her children were young. She was a charter member of St. Olaf Catholic Church where she volunteered in many capacities over the years.\r\nIda worked at Bury's Bakery, was a bookkeeper at Chippewa Motor Freight for eleven years, and later worked for the Eau Claire County Department of Aging. She cared for her mother, Anna O'Rourke and Eleanor Sime for many years.\r\nIda loved to garden and fish as evidenced by her being carried in the boat this summer so she could catch the "Big One"!\r\nIda married William Diekmann on October 8, 1996, where they had a private ceremony at St. Olaf's Catholic Church.\r\nIda is survived by her husband, William; seven children, John (Shirley) Traynor of Eau Claire; James (Remya) Traynor of Stevens Point, Gregory (Mary) Traynor, Barbara (Michael) Mai and Beverly (James) Gladwell all of Eau Claire, Virginia (Gary) Kuehn of Augusta, and Gary (Sharon) Traynor of Eau Claire; fourteen grandchildren, John, Alexandra, Roshini, Dinesh, Jeremy, Rebecca, Sean, Jennifer, Laura, and Michelle Traynor, Joseph Mai, Gina Gladwell, Jason and Jered Kuehn; two great grandchildren, Gavin and Landon Traynor; sister Marion (Delbert) Rediger; brother, William O'Rourke; sister-in-law, Rose Brenner; four step daughters, Sue Hedlund, Pam, Nancy and Barb Diekmann; two step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and a step sister-in-law, Agatha (Melvin) Fuerstenberg.\r\nIda was also preceded in death by parents; and a granddaughter Sarah Marie Mai. \r\nSpecial thanks go to Dr. Anton Kidess.
