Ingrid G. Oie, 85, of Eau Claire, died July 7, 2005, at Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. She was born in Skottbu, Norway on May 1, 1920, the eldest daughter of Sven and Martha (Lundby) Norheim. She came by ocean liner from Norway to the United States in 1953 to visit cousins that settled around the Strum area.\r\nIn Eau Claire, Ingrid met George E. Oie. They were married on September 27, 1953, at Hope Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother who kept an immaculate household and was an excellent cook. \r\nShe is survived by her son, Thomas, of Madison; three sisters, Marit Retvedt, Reidun Hafstad and Gerd Brevig, all of Norway; sister-in-law, Katherine (Oie) Baar of Oak Brook, IL; 15 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband George, in 1975; her parents; and two brothers, Reidar and Ké
