Ione V. Milton, 94, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on August 22, 1918 in the Town of Peru, Dunn County, to Ole and Regina (Brack) Aanstad. She attended grade school in Rock Creek and graduated from Eau Claire High School with the class of 1938. On October 21, 1944, she married Donald "Puk" Milton at St. Patrick's Rectory in Eau Claire and together they raised three children. She was widowed in December 1969. Ione had various jobs in the secretarial/clerical field. She retired from the Medical Records Department at Luther Hospital in 1984. Ione was a wise and gentle woman - beautiful inside and out. She treasured her family and friends. Ione enjoyed sewing, knitting, and a good game of Skip-bo. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Ione is survived by her three daughters, Diane Estreen of Woodbury, MN, Mary Milton of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Ann (Dale) Klyczek of Las Vegas, NV; four granddaughters, Michelle (Matt) Lemorande, Sarah (Erik) Bunce, Randene (Jason) Brobst, Megan (Rob) Ochs; nine great-children, Lauren and Aidan Lemorande, Claire and Jonah Bunce, Slugger and Sawyer Barber, Owen Ochs, Samantha and Kristen Brobst; three sisters, Elayne Peterson, Ann Ayres, Clarice (Gerry) Anderson; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Robert (Shirley), Palmer, infant twins Richard and Theodore; sisters, Russellyn (Dale) Lunke, Mildred (Stuart) Brumberg, Peg (Juel) Market; brothers-in-law, Gordon Peterson, Franklin "Redd" Ayres; in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at First Lutheran Church, 1005 Oxford Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor Michael Rehak and Pastor Lowell Halvorson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the church. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in the City of Eau Claire.
