Irene E. Bolles, 77, of Eau Claire, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005, at her home. She was born in Eau Claire on August 9, 1927, the daughter of Irving and Jennie (Johnson) Gabriel. \r\nIrene married Frank A. Bolles on August 3, 1946, and they enjoyed 37 years together.\r\nIrene's greatest joys in life included her family and her church. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She was a truly devoted, active member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ. Irene served on various church committees and boards, including a term as Church Moderator. She was a long-time member of the church choir. In recent years, she was the church historian.\r\nShe is survived by her three sons, John Bolles, Bob (Sandy) Bolles, and Jim Bolles; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Carina, and Kelly, all of Madison; brother, Leonard (Mary Lou) Gabriel of Eau Claire; brother-in-law Rev. Harold Bolles of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nIrene was preceded in death by her husband Frank and her brother James.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, 2010 Moholt Drive, Eau Claire, with Rev. David Huber officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Avenue, Eau Claire and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, 2010 Moholt Drive, Eau Claire, WI 54703.\r\n
