Irene L. Johnson, 93, formerly of 600 Graham Ave., Eau Claire, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home, Eau Claire.\r\nShe was born in Eau Claire on July 9, 1912, the daughter of Hans and Emma (Pollnow) Johnson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1930, and went on to attend Eau Claire State Teacher's College, graduating in 1934.\r\nShe worked in the accounting department at National Presto Industries for 40 years. Irene was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Syverson Home Auxiliary, President's Club of UWEC, and the Samaritan Club of Luther Hospital. For many years, she delivered books to shut-ins from the public library.\r\nIrene is survived by a niece, Diane (Carl) Manz, and a nephew, Delmar Johnson, both of Eau Claire; seven great nieces and nephews; and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Genevieve Johnson; and her brothers, Lawrence and Milton Johnson.\r\nMemorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel, with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Family and friends may call one-half hour prior to services at the church.\r\nThe family prefers memorials to Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W.
