Irene Agnes Lund, 94, of Colfax, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 12, 2026 at Colfax Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was born on February 4, 1931, to John and Mildred (Berg) Benish in Howard Township. Irene lived a long and fulfilling life devoted to her family, faith, and community. Irene was married to Juno Lund, for 57 wonderful years until his passing. Together they shared many memories, including owning and operating Lund's Bar in Albertville, Wisconsin, for over a decade. Irene also dedicated many years to working in the healthcare field, where her compassion and commitment to others made a lasting difference in the lives she touched. She is survived by her children, June (Clare) Harshman, Bernard Lund, Paul (Lori) Lund and Beverly Olson, along with many grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her children, Judy Rothbauer, Edward Lund, and Roger Lund. Irene will be remembered for being a devoted mother of 7 children and for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire, with Father Tom Krieg officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00 up until time of Mass. A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass at the church. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery - Cooks Valley.
