Irene A. Weber, 93, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. Irene was born on October 8, 1921, in Buffalo County, WI, to Oscar and Stella (Solfest) Lee. She lived in the Lookout area until she married Cletus L. Weber on April 15, 1941, and together they moved to Eau Claire and started a family. Irene and Cletus took frequent trips to Florida, Texas, Hawaii and Alaska. They enjoyed spending their summers at their cottage on beautiful Lake Holcombe. Irene was a devoted mother to her three children. She loved to play golf and bridge at Lake Hallie Golf Course. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire for over 70 years and was active in the ladies group. She cherished time spent with all of her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Irene is survived by her son, Gary (Eve) Weber of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Jodene (Mike) Dekan of Eau Claire, and Rena (Roger) Lunke of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, Roman (Ann), Gabe (Ginette), Tylar (Hilary), Brandon (Susannah), Kirstin (Jon), Kris (Lina), Jamie (Kendra), and Mike; great-grandchildren, Greta, Marin, Linnea, Owen, Clara, Denali, Colten, Gabriel, Madelyn, Johann, Elaya, and two Dekan babies on the way; brother, Gordon (Donna) Lee; dear niece, Pam Parker; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Cletus; sisters, Josie (Mike) Symiczek and Elinore (Bernard) Weber; brothers, Vernon (Emily), Alger (Glenna) and Armand (Mary) Lee. The family would like to thank Our House Senior Living in Chippewa Falls, Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire and Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice for all the care given to Irene. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Dean Simpson officiating and Reverend Barb Koch assisting minister. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial will be following the service at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington, Eau Claire.
