Jack A. Erickson, 75, of 2326 Dorrett Road died Friday, January 26, 1996 at Luther Hospital.\r\nJack was born to Adolph and Lilly (Cardinal) Erickson in Eau Claire on February 16, 1920. He graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1938. He married Glenndoris Branshaw on November 8, 1941 in Eau Claire. Jack served in Europe during World War II as a radio Operator in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a sausage maker with Peters Meats Co. over twenty five years and then worked at Uniroyal retiring from the shipping department in 1985.\r\nHe was a member of the VFW Post 305, the Chippewa Valley Museum and active with the Eau Claire Humane Society where he had been awarded for his volunteer service. He loved to be outdoors with nature and was very fond of animals. \r\nJack is survived by a brother, Larry "Duffy" Erickson of Eau Claire; two sisters, Beverly Heltemes of Glendive,MT and Jeannine Dohse of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews and special friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Glenndoris in July 1994; his parents and a sister, Mariam Brust.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Gene E. Wickman of the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Eau Claire Humane Society.
