Jacques Evon "Jack" Lenmark, 78, of Fairfield, Iowa, formerly of Eau Claire, died Thursday, January 4, 1996 at Lafayette Regional Hospital in Lexington,Missouri.\r\nJack was born October 23, 1917 in Eau Claire to Mr. and Mrs. P.O. Lenmark. He married Arlene Krogh in Eau Claire on April 2, 1941. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II in New Guinea.\r\nHe was owner and funeral director at Lenmark and Sons Funeral Home from 1949 to 1972 when he moved out West after selling the funeral home.\r\nJack enjoyed many outdoor activities with his family and friends but most of all he loved the game of golf.\r\nHe is survived by a daughter, Margo Lenmark of Fairfield, IA; three sons, Mike and Marty of Altamonte Springs, FL and Mark (Judy) of Rice Lake; a grandson, Aaron and a granddaughter, Whitney both of Rice Lake; a brother, Voigt of Mpls, MN; two sisters, Naomi "Sis" Steinmetz of Eau Claire and Yvonne (Harvey) Haynes of Sierra Vista, AZ; and special friend, Mary Wilson of Glenrock,WY.\r\nJack was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and three brothers, Yud, Alger and Pierre.\r\nMemorial Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Roderick Anderson of Faith Lutheran Church, Cameron,WI officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call 12:30 P.M. Saturday until time of services at the funeral home.\r\nJack will be fondly remembered for his gentle loving nature, extraordinary compassion and his selfless giving.
