James P. Bruckner, 73, of Eau Claire, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born in Eau Claire, the son of Lloyd and Elizabeth (Groundwater) Bruckner. James married Rita A. Anibas in Eau Claire on December 22, 1968. He worked at Consumers Co-op for 22 years. Jim began working for Cray Research in 1988, which, over the years, changed to Johnson Mathey, Honeywell, and then TTM Technologies. He retired in 2010. Jim is survived by three step-children, Rick (Debbie) Guenther of Altoona, Larry (Sue) Guenther of Roscoe, IL, and Sheri (Bill) Schramm of Wilson; seven step-grandchildren, Ricky (Valorie) Guenther, Kenney (Kate) Guenther, Chad Guenther, Kim (Pete) Woodkey, Jake Schramm, Megan (Colin) Howie, and Nicole (Justin) Dibble; twelve step-great grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Thompson of Elk River, MN; a brother, Charles Bruckner of Eleva; and two nephews, Steve and Jim Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; parents; and a brother, Paul. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
